What are the Symptoms of Sinusitis?

Sinusitis symptoms vary from individual to individual depending on the underlying cause. Sinusitis symptoms are similar to those of a common cold except that sinusitis symptoms last longer than 3 weeks and sinusitis does not respond to common cold medication.
Sinusitis occurs when one or more of the sinus cavities become inflamed due to several causes such as bacteria, fungi and allergies to pollen causing pain in the nasal area.

The main symptom of sinusitis is pain on the affected sinus cavity.
  • Maxillary sinuses - affection of the maxillary sinuses causes an ache in the upper jaw (maxilla) and teeth.
The cheeks become tender to touch.
  • Frontal sinuses - when the forehead is touched or lightly pressed, pain is induced. The cause is likely to be frontal sinusitis. Often the eyes are sensitive to light as well.
  • Sphenoid sinuses - Infections in the sphenoid sinuses are not common but can appear as ear-aches, neck pain and sometimes deep aching in the head.
  • Ethmoid sinuses - these sinuses are located between the eyes, near the tear ducts and causes swelling of the eyelids and surrounding tissue as well as causing pain between the eyes. There can also be anosmia (loss of smell) and tenderness when the sides of the nose are palpated or touched.

The #1 Reason You're So Tired (It's Not What You Think)

By , Caring.com senior editor
nose

Does this sound familiar? You finally manage to get everything done and fall into bed, where it's easy to fall asleep because you're bone-tired. You sleep a reasonable number of hours -- at least it seems as if you do -- but when you wake up, you feel like you hardly slept. Then you drag around all day, feeling fuzzy-headed, grumpy, and longing for a nap.

Endless Miracle In The Basmalah

basmalah

Many more miracles appear when Basmalah is investigated. According to us, one of the points of the 30th verse of the sura “The Hidden” (Over it is 19) attracts attention, is the Basmalah. It consists 19 letters. Basmalah is written at the top of the suras and it shows that the Quran has not changed and it has a mathematical code and mathematical miracles.
Now, let us examine the miracles of the Basmalah depending on the code 19. Basmalah, a group of words, which is repeated every other minute in the world and in the Quran is a miraculous group of words. Let us examine the words forming Basmalah and the numerical value of them.
NumberLetters of the wordsNumber of LettersMathematical ValueTotal
1Ba,Seen,Meem32, 60, 40102
2Alif,Lam,Lam,He41, 30, 30, 566
3Alif,Lam,Ra,Ha,Meem,Noon61, 30, 200, 8, 40, 50329
4Alif,Lam,Ra,Ha,Ya,Meem61, 30, 200, 8, 10, 40289
total19-786
The numerical value of the words “God”, “Al-Gracious”, “Al-Merciful” which form the names of God in Basmalah is a multiple of 19.

The numerical value of God’s names which form Basmalah
GodAl-GraciousAl-MercifulTotal

(19×36)
There are many miracles which depend on the code 19 in Basmalah. Some of these miracles are as follows:
1) If we write the number of the letters of the words in Basmalah after their serial numbers, we get an eight-digit number and this number is a multiple of 19:
13243646 = 19× 19×36686
2) Now, let us replace the number of the letters of these words with their total numerical value. Now, the number we get is a fifteen-digit number and this number is a multiple 19: 110226633294289 = 19 × 5801401752331
3) Now, let us replace the total numerical value of the words with the numerical value of each letter. For example, in the place of 102 which is the total numerical value of the first word, let’s write 2, 60, 40 which are the numerical values of each letter in that word. We get a thirtyseven digit number and this number is a multiple of 19 (You can control these divisions in a computer. We wonder whether some disbelievers will claim that the Prophet Muhammad discovered a computer 1400 years ago) : 1260402130305313020084050413020081040 = 19 x 6633695422…
4) Let us write the total of the letters in that word instead of the number of letters of each word we have used in the first example. For instance, let us write 7(4+3) which is the total number of letters of the first and second words in the place of 4 which is the number of the letters of the second word. This ten digit number is also a multiple of 19: 1327313419 = 19 × 69848601
5) Now, let us replace the numerical value of each word used in the second example with the total numerical value of these words. We get an nineteen digit number and this number is a multiple of 19. Now, we use the total numerical value as we have used the total number of the letters in the fourth example: 1102216834974786 = 19 x 58011412367094
6) In the third example we wrote the numerical value of each word after the serial numbers of each word. Now, let’s write in front of these numerical values, letter number of that numerical value. The number we have is an exact multiple of 19: 11226034021123033045311230320048540650411230320048510640 = 19 x 590843895848581…
7) Now, add the number of the letters and the numerical value of the letters in the first two examples. And then write this total number after the serial number of the words. For example, get 3 which is the total of the letters of the first word and 102 which is the numerical value of these three letters. And add 3 and 102. You get 105. Write this number (105) after the first word. This number is also an exact multiple of 19: 110527033354295 = 19 x 5817212281805
’8) If you write the serial numbers of each letter in Basmalah from 1 to 19 after the numerical value of each letter of the Basmalah, you get a 62 digit number and this number is also a multiple of 19: 21602403143053065718309200108114012501311430152001681710184019 = 19 x 113696858647648…
9) If you write the serial numbers of the words (1, 2, 3, 4) after the parts pointing out each word in the number above, you get a sixtysix digit number and this number is an exact multiple of 19: 216024031143053065721830920010811401250133114301520016817101810194 = 19 x 113696858496344…
10) In the eighth example, we wrote the serial numbers of the words (1, 2, 3, 4) after the numerical values and the number of the letters. Now, let us replace the serial numbers of the words with the numerical value of each word (102, 66, 329, 289). The number we get is an exact multiple of 19 again: 2160240310214305306576618309200108114012501332911430152001681710184019289 = 19 x 113696858432332
Abdullah Arık deals with the mathematical structure of Basmalah in detail in his book “Beyond Probability”. We have dealed with the subject in detail as well, but we are going to cut it here since too much detail may be boring for some people.
It is exceptional that there are a lot of peculiarities of this word consisting of 19 letters and 4 words. These peculiarities of this word depend on the code 19. As we remember the mercy of God when we always say “Bismillahirrahmanirrahim” (with the name God, Gracious, Merciful), we should remember that God shows His incredible miracles He has composed and He displays his mercy. The Basmalah, which shines very brightly with its 19 letters on every sura, is a significiant part of the code 19 protecting the Quran.
Over it is 19. (74:30)

3 Ways Leaders Can Cure Complacency

by LaRae Quy

I spent over twenty years working as both an FBI undercover and counterintelligence agent.
My job was to identify foreign spies who were operating in the United States, find out what they were stealing and stop them, assess whether they possessed the type of information the U.S. needed, and if they did, find ways to persuade them to work for our government.
I share the lessons I learned about surviving in an environment of deception, hostility, and fear.

"Coincidentally, these same conditions also exist in business and life."

If you are going to survive in today's world, you will need to learn how to navigate through the smoke and mirrors that create confusion in investments, marketing, and relationships.

5 Natural Treatments for Sinus Infection

 Delia Quigley   Sep 30, 2011

True misery is the pain and swelling caused by sinus inflammation. The bones around the nose, the eyes and the cheeks are lined with membranes that produce mucus, which function to warm and moisten inhaled air, plus to filter out any germs. When congested and unable to drain properly the mucus continues to accumulate, stagnate and become infected. There are a number of causes for chronic sinus infections:
  • Excessive dairy consumption (cheese, milk, ice cream, yogurt)
  • Environmental allergies
  • Tobacco and pollution irritation
  • Food allergies
  • Dental infection
  • Fungal infection in the sinus cavity
  • Systemic Candida albicans (overgrowth of yeast)
  • Colds and flu symptoms

JALAN YANG PALING SIBUK DILUAR KUALA LUMPUR: SEREMBAN – KUALA PILAH

Assalam mu'alaikum wr wb.

Eid Adha 1433 Hijriah

To all Muslims, Muslimahs, Mukmins & Mukminahs

May Allah Accept our Good Deeds and Continue to Do so Until the End of Time.  Ameen

Prophet Muhammad's Last Sermon
Date delivered: 632 A.C., 9th day of Zhul al Hijjah, 10 A.H. in the 'Uranah valley of Mount Arafat.
After praising, and thanking God, he said: "O People, listen well to my words, for I do not know whether, after this year, I shall ever be amongst you again. Therefore listen to what I am saying to you very carefully and TAKE THESE WORDS TO THOSE WHO COULD NOT BE PRESENT HERE TODAY.

O People, just as you regard this month, this day, this city as Sacred, so regard the life and property of every Muslim as a sacred trust. Return the goods entrusted to you to their rightful owners. Treat others justly so that no one would be unjust to you. Remember that you will indeed meet your LORD, and that HE will indeed reckon your deeds. God has forbidden you to take usury (riba), therefore all riba obligation shall henceforth be waived. Your capital , however, is yours to keep. You will neither inflict nor suffer inequity. God has judged that there shall be no riba and that all the riba due to `Abbas ibn `Abd al Muttalib shall henceforth be waived.

4 Dangerous Myths that Will Hurt Your Public Speaking

Ever wonder where that saying came from about being our own worst enemy? At least one place you'll find it is in this elegant turn of phrase:
"Very often we are our own worst enemy as we foolishly build stumbling blocks on the path that leads to success and happiness."
                             -- Louis Binstock

If there's a truer sentiment regarding self-consciousness and nervousness about public speaking, I don't know of it. (To bring yourself down to earth and speak with greater focus and presence, download our cheat sheet, "How to Calm Your Nerves Before Speaking.")
Here are 4 common myths about public speaking that, like "building our own stumbling blocks," keep us from realizing our full potential as speakers. Equally bad, these myths may make us avoid speaking in public, and so keep audiences from hearing what we have to say:

Is Drinking Soda Worse Than Smoking?

Soda, which is loaded with sugar primarily in the form of high fructose corn syrup, is a leading contributor to the rising rates of obesity, diabetes, heart disease and other chronic diseases facing Americans.

So when I say that drinking a can of soda is just as bad for you as smoking a cigarette (and maybe even worse), it is not an exaggeration.

Drinking soda is in many ways worse for you than smoking, and it is only because of massive marketing campaigns from the industry that these sugary beverages are deemed acceptable for our most vulnerable members of society – our kids.

In the 21st century, there would indeed be an uproar if tobacco companies attempted to target our kids, but the soda companies do it everyday.

It’s time to wake up and face the facts: the soda industry is out for your children, and the message they send is every bit as damaging (and manipulative) as the one spewed by Big Tobacco.

8 Habits of Organized People

By DivineCaroline

Being truly organized extends far beyond keeping a tidy workspace or home. It’s about keeping your life in order, from your schedule to your chores to your thoughts and beyond. Sound like an overwhelming task? Consider the benefits: While getting yourself into a habit of being organized requires an investment of time and energy, once you’re in a groove you’ll reap huge rewards, including less stress, more efficiency, a sharper mind, and the knowledge that when you want to find something, you’ll know exactly where it is. If you’re ready to join the ranks of highly organized people, adopt the following eight habits.

1. They keep only what they need.
Ever notice how clean your organized friends’ spaces are? There’s a reason for that. Organized people don’t hoard a bunch of stuff they don’t need. They amass only things that they actually use and keep decorative objects to a thoughtful minimum. With fewer things to keep track of or care for, they are surrounded by clean, mind-calming space rather than clutter.

Effective Ways To Get Out of a Negative Mindset

It is too easy to get into a negative mindset which invariably leads to unhappiness and depression. To avoid being overwhelmed by negativity we need to make a conscious effort to avoid the experience. When life seems like a perpetual dark tunnel these are some suggestions to change your outlook on life.

Don't Cherish Destructive Thoughts.
Often we don’t realise how much we subconsciously cherish negative thoughts. It may seem counter intuitive, but often a negative frame of mind occurs because we won't let go of the negative thoughts and ideas. Sometimes the mind clings on to these thoughts with a feeling of self pity or injured pride. We don’t like the negative frame of mind, but at the same time are we consciously trying to overcome it? The problem is that if the negative thoughts go round and round in our mind they can become powerful and we lose a sense of perspective. Just make a conscious decision to ignore the negative flow of thoughts and sentiments and be persistent in these attempts.

Greenland Iceberg Tsunami!

Photo Credit: screenshot from Youtube video

Jens Møller was visiting his uncle in Ilulissat, Greenland, when a tourist from Australia asked if she could get a ride to the glacier just north of the town. Since Møller speaks fluent English, his uncle asked him to come along to act as translator.
The party set out in his uncle’s 18-foot boat and began inspecting the glaciers at a place named Eqi, when they heard some cracking. Thinking that a small section of the glacier was about to fall into the water, Møller started filming with his video camera.

And that’s when the “tsunami” began. The falling glacial ice was in fact enormous and created a huge wave as it slid into the ocean.

Amazingly everyone survived intact, but here’s more proof that however splendid nature may be, we can never rest safely in Mother Nature’s arms. Nature does not protect us; we are at the mercy of its changes and must protect ourselves.

Watch this dramatic video and you’ll see what I mean!

NOW THE GOVERNMENT CAN LEGALLY KILL CHRISTIANS

Bill Dannemeyer
U.S. Congressman, 1979-1992

Your U.S. government can now legally kill Christians for the “crime” of worshipping Jesus Christ!  A diabolic deception has been perpetrated on the American people by their OWN leaders, Senators and Congressmen, who have sold their soul to the devil.  On March 5, 1991, in the House of Representatives, and March 7, 1991, in the U.S. Senate, without any knowledge of, or input by, the people of the United States, U.S. Senators and Congressmen passed a law that is so outrageous – and frankly unconstitutional – that it forces the American people to be bound by a set of monstrous rules, called the Noahide Laws, rules that make the belief in Jesus Christ a crime punishable by decapitation by guillotine!  On March 20, 1991, President George H.W. Bush, a supposed Christian, signed the bill into law.
Before you respond, “NO, that cannot be – not in our free country!” let me explain.
The passage of this law, HJ Res. 104, is especially troublesome to me because I was a member of the U.S. House of Representatives at the time it was passed.  Even worse, I was in the House Chamber the very day that is was passed, voting on other legislation.  Yet I, as a U.S. Congressman, had NO KNOWLEDGE that it had been passed or even that it was to be brought up for a vote.
How could this be?  How could the deception be so pervasive that those of us who had sworn to uphold our country’s Constitution, particularly those of us (few, indeed) who really took our position seriously as the protectors of the people, could be totally in the dark regarding the content of this bill and its passage by the leaders of this country – by treachery and deceit?
          Here’s how it happened!

10 Warning Signs Your Bones Are Thinning -- and What You Can Do Now

Find out the symptoms of osteopenia, the precursor to osteoporosis, and what you can do to help thinning bones.

By Melanie Haiken, Caring.com senior editor

We all know an older person with osteoporosis -- it's one of the most common problems of aging, striking more than half of all adults over age 50. And we all hope osteoporosis doesn't happen to us, since weak bones can lead to fractures, and fractures, in turn, lead to all sorts of scary consequences.
But how do you know if your bones are sturdy enough to keep you safe? It's tricky, because osteopenia -- the process of bone thinning that precedes full-blown osteoporosis -- can happen without obvious symptoms. Here are the top 10 warning signs of thinning bones, along with tips about how you can respond:
